这两天，马斯克和扎克伯格俩人“约架”的事儿，有最新消息了。
据美联社报道，当地时间8月6日，美国社交平台X（原推特）老板马斯克（Elon Musk）表示，他与脸书母公司Meta创始人扎克伯格约定好的格斗赛，将在X平台上直播。
马斯克当天在X上“预告”说：“扎克和马斯克的对决将在X上进行直播，所有收益将捐给退伍军人的慈善机构。”
Elon Musk says his potential in-person fight with Mark Zuckerberg would be streamed on his social media site X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on X,” Musk wrote in a post Sunday on the platform. “All proceeds will go to charity for veterans.”
扎克伯格则在自己公司推出的新社交应用Threads（被认为是推特竞品）上回复马斯克说，“难道我们不应该用一个更可靠的、能够真正为慈善筹款的平台直播吗？”
On his Threads social media account, Zuckerberg responded: “Shouldn’t we use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity?”
原来，当天早些时候，马斯克在X上表示，自己“整天都在举重，为决斗做准备”，由于没有时间锻炼，所以带着健身器材去上班。
扎克伯格看到后，挑衅般的在Threads上回复马斯克：“我今天就准备好了。当他第一次提出挑战时，我建议定在8月26日，但他到现在也没确认时间。我都不抱啥希望（not holding my breath）。”
之后他还补充了一句以示决心，“我热爱这项运动（格斗），无论发生什么，我都将继续和训练有素的人竞争。”
注：not holding one’s breath表示不期待某事很快就会发生，或者对某个结果不乐观。
例句：She said she'd get back to us, but don't hold your breath! （她说她会回复我们，但你别抱啥希望。）
Musk said earlier Sunday he was training for the fight by lifting weights.
“Don’t have time to work out, so I just bring them to work,” Musk wrote.
Zuckerberg replied on Threads: “I’m ready today. I suggested Aug 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath. I love this sport and will continue competing with people who train no matter what happens here.”
当天，X平台上一名用户留言问马斯克，“这场决斗有啥意义？莫非是激励你去健身？”
马斯克回答称，“这是一场文明的战争。男人热爱战争（It’s a civilized form of war. Men love war.）。”
When a user on X asked Musk the point of the fight, Musk responded by saying “It’s a civilised form of war. Men love war”.
据美联社报道，这两位科技亿万富翁在6月底时同意要进行一场“笼中对决”（以铁笼围住擂台的格斗比赛）。

俩人到底结下了什么梁子，要动真格？
其实，这一切始于当时推特上一位网友发布一条推文，说Meta准备推出“推特竞品”——Threads。马斯克看到后不乐意了，在推文下挖苦说，世界“完全被扎克伯格控制，没有其他选择”。
随后，一位网友开玩笑警告马斯克“要小心”，因为扎克伯格正在练柔术（ju jitsu）。
没想到听闻此言，马斯克真较起劲了，回复该网友说：“如果他愿意，我想和他来一场‘笼中对决’”。
It all started when Musk, who owns X, responded to a tweet about Meta preparing to release a new Twitter rival called Threads. He took a dig about the world becoming “exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options” — but then one Twitter user jokingly warned Musk of Zuckerberg’s jiu jitsu training.
“I’m up for a cage match if he is lol,” Musk wrote.
之后，扎克伯格毫不示弱，接受了挑战。他在Instagram上转发了马斯克推文的截图，下面写着：“发我位置”。
截图又被网友们转发给马斯克，后者写道：“如果这是认真的，那我愿意干！”
随后，马斯克还给出了希望对决的地点：拉斯维加斯的八角笼（the Vegas Octagon, 终极格斗冠军赛UFC的比赛场地）。
A day later, Zuckerberg, 39, who has posted pictures of matches he has won on his company's Instagram platform, asked Musk, 51, to "send location" for the proposed throwdown, to which Musk replied "Vegas Octagon", referring to an events center where mixed martial arts (MMA) championship bouts are held.
美联社指出，马斯克和扎克伯格是否真的会在拉斯维加斯的格斗场上决斗，还有待观察。因为马斯克经常“出尔反尔”，喜欢过早发帖宣布事情，之后却并没有执行。不过，即便他俩“约架”其实只是个玩笑，那也已经获得了大量关注。
Whether or not Musk and Zuckerberg actually make it to the ring in Las Vegas has yet to be seen — especially as Musk often tweets about action prematurely or without following through. But even if their cage match agreement is all a joke, the banter has gained attention.

比起这场决斗是否真的会发生，网友似乎更关心谁能赢，不少人还专门为两人制作了“实力对比表”。
实际上，扎克伯格以前接受过综合格斗（mixed martial arts）训练，在今年早些时候还发帖提及他第一次参加柔术（jiu jitsu）锦标赛的经历。
Zuckerberg is actually trained in mixed martial arts, and the CEO of Facebook’s parent company Meta posted about completing his first jiu jitsu tournament earlier this year.
一位搏击体育记者曾在6月底告诉BBC称，扎克伯格只进行了18个月的巴西柔术锻炼（Brazilian jiu-jitsu），马斯克虽在身高和体重上有优势，但扎克伯格要想对付他并不困难。
不过，综合外媒报道，马斯克在搏击界也有不少粉丝，目前排名UFC中量级第七名的斯崔克兰（Sean Strickland）以及UFC名宿马斯维达尔（Jorge Masvidal）都发文要帮马斯克练拳。

Representatives of X, Meta and Ultimate Fighting Championship, which owns the venue where the fight might take place, didn’t immediately respond to emails seeking comment.
美联社认为，马斯克在X平台上直播“决斗”视频的目的，是将该平台变成一个“数字城市广场”。然而，今年5月，Twitter Spaces（推特的一个语音聊天室应用）曾直播佛罗里达州州长罗恩·德桑蒂斯宣布竞选美国总统的活动，却遭遇技术故障和近半小时的延迟。
Musk’s push to stream the video live on X comes as he aims to turn the platform into a “digital town square.” However, his much-publicized Twitter Spaces kickoff event in May with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announcing his run for president struggled with technical glitches and a near half-hour delay.

Musk had said the problems were due to “straining” servers because so many people were trying to listen to the audio-only event. But even at their highest, the number of listeners listed topped out at around 420,000, far from the millions of viewers that televised presidential announcements attract.

The stakes are seemingly high after Meta, which also owns Instagram and Facebook, launched Threads in early July, drawing in more than 100 million sign-ups within days.
However, Mr Zuckerberg later said the platform had lost more than half of its users by the end of last month.
